The Alexa Voice Service (AVS) is seeking a passionate, creative and voice first leader as a Manager of Solutions Architecture. This role will support a team of talented Solutions Architects assist our Alexa development community with Alexa Built In (ABI) device integration.
As the ideal candidate for this role you lead with vision and empathy and demonstrate the ability to address ambiguous challenges with well-defined, measurable tasks. You are able to think beyond the challenge at hand and recognize broader implications and opportunities others may have missed. A day in the life
Your daily life will be vibrant and varied. You will spend time with your team helping them set and track goals that are well aligned to the needs of our customers and the Alexa business. You will hold regular career development discussions with your team to help them ask the right questions and focus on their future while they deliver value to our customers today. You will work with partners to develop rich, mutually beneficial relationships. You will meet with product and engineering teams to shape our products and services to meet the needs of our developer community.
About the hiring group
The AVS SA team is the technical connection between our partner developer community and our internal engineering and product teams. Our mission is to help our partners create delightful Alexa experiences on their devices while ensuring they are able to meet their product timelines with minimal friction. We are teachers, coaches, evangelists, consultants and advocates. We are passionately creative rule breakers that love both the technology and the business aspects of our role equally.
We will rely on you to manage a part of the OEM business for AVS in partnership with our Business Development team prioritizing our partner opportunities and ensuring our technical deliverables can be met to meet our partners' launch dates. We will look to you to champion our partner feedback with our product and engineering teams to ensure that we invest in the right features and capabilities to allow our partners to build Alexa experiences on their devices that delight our customers. We will benefit from your mentorship and coaching to help our Solutions Architects have the skills and knowledge our partners need and to help them grow and develop their careers. You will help us identify the potential in our leaders and help us develop them into the leaders our customers need tomorrow.

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, related fields or equivalent professional experience.
• 3-5 years of management experience
• 3-5 years of professional experience in an individual contributor, technologist role
• 3-5 years of experience in customer facing roles (sales, business development, customer support)
• Experience in one or more of the following segments: infrastructure, cloud computing, consumer electronics, audio technology, video technology, software development
• Multi-lingual skills with fluency in two or more of the following languages: English, Spanish, Arabic, Japanese, Mandarin, Portuguese, French
• International business experience
